Built by rope techs, for rope techs. We're building the software we always wished existed.
The Origin Story
H3ight started with a simple frustration: a rope access technician who wanted work@height.com as an email address. That domain was taken. So were height.io, heightwork.com, and every other sensible variation.
But h3ight.com was available. The "3" replacing the "e" stuck, and it inspired a naming convention: H3Gear, H3Safe, H3Crew, H3Project, H3Pay. Each module starts with "H3" — a nod to the creative problem-solving that defines this industry.
The bigger frustration, though, was the tools. Or lack of them. Gear tracked in spreadsheets. Inspection records on paper. Safety documents in Word files scattered across shared drives. Payroll on napkins. The rope access industry deserved better.
So we started building. First came H3Gear — because tracking 1,000+ pieces of safety-critical equipment in Excel is a disaster waiting to happen. Then H3Safe, because JSAs and rescue plans should be digital, searchable, and audit-ready. Then the rest of the platform took shape.
Today, H3ight is building the all-in-one platform that rope access companies need to run their operations. Inventory, safety, workforce, projects, and payroll — all in one place, all built by people who understand the work.
